What each device costs

The one-time purchase price and the recurring monitoring fee, for every SKU we sell — so you can price an order before you sign up. See the full specs for every device.

Hardware is a one-time purchase, billed at checkout in the app’s store; monitoring fees recur monthly for as long as a device is connected. A device showing “Shown in the store” has no published price yet — the store has the current one.

Monitoring data and login credentials are stored in your chosen region; notification providers process delivery content. Directory and commerce data are processed on the US control plane. Pricing is billed from the control plane; your readings and alarms are not.

How do the per-device fees work?
On top of your plan fee, each connected device carries a monthly monitoring fee based on its class — a wireless sensor, a multi-input board (which adds a small fee per active channel beyond the ones its class fee covers), or a gateway. The planned Ethernet gateway class carries no monthly monitoring fee. Ethernet and cellular backhaul are planned; current gateway development firmware uses Wi-Fi uplink.
How is the hardware itself priced?
Devices are a one-time purchase, and the table above lists each SKU’s purchase price next to the monthly monitoring fee it bills under, so you can size an order before you sign up. Checkout happens in the app’s store; the hardware page has full specs for every SKU.
How long are my readings kept?
Your plan sets how far back you can look: Essential keeps 1 year of readings, and Professional keeps 2 years. Full-resolution readings — every individual sample — go back up to 1 year, or your plan’s whole window when that is shorter; anything older is kept as hourly averages, which is what long-range trends and compliance reports are built from. Deeper history is a paid add-on on any plan: 5- and 9-year windows, from $0.25 per monitored point / month — the same rates the plan cards quote.
Are SMS and voice alerts extra?
SMS alerts work on every plan, and every plan includes a monthly allowance — the plan card states what yours includes. What happens after that depends on your plan. On Essential, paid SMS is switched off to start with, so once the allowance is used up alerts keep going out by email instead of stopping — switch on paid SMS under Settings → Billing if you would rather they carried on at the per-message rate. On Professional, messages past the allowance are billed at the per-message rate the card quotes, from the point your subscription starts. Automated voice calls are included from Professional up, with their own allowance. Email and push alerts are never metered and never stop, whatever your billing state.
How is my device count measured for a month?
By the highest number of devices connected on any day of the billing period — not by an average and not prorated by the hour. That means a device you remove part-way through a month is still billed for that month, and is not billed the next one. It also means you can swap or add hardware mid-month without a proration line you have to reconcile.
Where does my data live?
Monitoring data and login credentials are stored in your chosen region; notification providers process delivery content. Directory and commerce data are processed on the US control plane.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Move between Essential and Professional at any time, and talk to sales when a fleet is ready for Enterprise. Cancel whenever you like.
